Recently, under the guidance of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicines and Health Products, a group standard titled Determination of Estrogen-Regulating Efficacy of Oral Health Products — Transgenic Medaka In Vivo Fluorescence Assay Method was officially launched. Led by Super Ingredient, the standard was jointly developed by several industry benchmark enterprises including Taiyi Health, Aquatic Silver (International), Bangshang Huachuang, and Food Research Association FTA.
The technical framework of this group standard originates from the domestic research team specializing in estrogen pathway studies — the team led by Dr. Chen Xueping from Aquatic Silver (International) Biotechnology Co., Ltd. The "Transgenic Medaka Fluorescence Expression System" method proposed by the team was approved as an AOAC International Standard project in 2019, with the results of multi-laboratory validation tests officially released. This provides a solid technical foundation and scientific evidence for the standardization process.
As a dedicated evaluation standard for the estrogen-regulating efficacy of oral health products, it marks that the assessment of estrogen-regulating effects for women has bid farewell to the "gray area" and now has clear, reproducible, and quantifiable scientific basis.
